Their idea was to celebrate the work of elected RGIs whose vision could be considered part of the narrative tradition, and so the Allusion Group was formed. The RGI’s strength is found in its quality and diversity. The aim of the group is to highlight a particular vision within the Institute that continues a long lineage within Scottish Narrative Painting while promoting and raising awareness of the RGI at home and beyond. Since the inaugural exhibition in 2015, the group has welcomed several new members, adding further diversity and strength in painting and printmaking.
