Bio: Lynne Cameron is a contemporary painter based on the Isle of Bute.
Inspired by stormy days on the west coast, this abstract painting captures the energy of the sea as it crashes into the land. Just three colours are used: burnt umber and indigo were painted on to the textured surface and allowed to mix into a near black ‘disappearing horizon’. A scarlet strip creates tension in the composition, a human gesture in response to natural forces.
Medium: Acrylic paint on textured gesso on card
Dimensions: 38 x 27 cm
