Artist: Lewis Deeney


Bio: Scottish born; Lewis grew up in the west of Scotland before studying Contemporary art practice at Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art at Design. Lewis gradated in 2020 with a first class honours as well as being awarded the James Guthrie Orchar Memorial Prize and Farquhar Reid Trust Prize during his degree show. Lewis was also one of 8 art student selected for the Freelands Painting prize, where his work ‘Our Equilibrium” is currently on display at the Freelands Gallery, London. Currently Lewis is perusing an MFA Art & Humanities at DJCAD after being awarded the the William S Phillips fund, a fund covering his tuition fees and providing a living expense bursary. All of this is exciting and Lewis is very grateful for his early success and recognition, however acknowledges that it is fruitless without the passion for art and creative practice that Lewis has.
